Press everything on your phone. You may be able to trick systems into thinking that you're on a rotary phone -- or that you're crazy. Either way, you're in.
Mumble. If the system can't understand you, it has no choice but to connect you with a live person.
Speak nonsense. See above.
Do nothing. They sense a rotary phone. Voila -- a human.
Speak Spanish. The Spanish option often has a shorter wait time, and you'll probably get a bilingual operator.
Select the cancel-service option. If a company thinks it's going to lose you as a customer, someone may try to convince you otherwise -- in person.
Mention a competitor. Systems sometimes monitor what you say while you're on hold. If you name a competitor, someone may help you sooner.
Swear. Some systems put anyone who is using profanity at the front of the line.
Plan your call time wisely. Avoid Monday, and call at an odd hour if you can.

第一招：撒嬌
現在，撒嬌不是女人的特權，寶寶男人們也時常動用這一武器。在做錯事的時候，他們不會死要面子，只會拉著你的手，可憐巴巴的看著你，再加上幾句求饒的話。
不管是誰，在這個時候都會心軟。他們是聰明的，聰明的不留痕跡。
第二招：落淚
寶寶男人掉眼淚的時候是比其他男人多的，有人說是因為他們比較小氣，但我覺得其實男人脆弱的時候還是很多，寶寶男人習慣把這種脆弱表現出來。
他們很直白的表達自己，接受關心和安慰。
第三招：表情
如果你仔細觀察身邊的寶寶男人，就會發現他們都很喜歡噘嘴，通常臉上會出現一些稀奇古怪的表情，我們可以稱其為“裝可愛”。
但他們仿佛理所當然，在男人中，這是屬於他們的特別專利。
第四招：擺pose
他們還經常撥弄自己的頭髮，這是一個很習慣的動作。
我想，是因為愛表現的原因，總希望自己在一群人當中是最突出的一個。
第五招：任性
寶寶男人們有很多時候都是任性的，有時候會給人一種不講理的感覺。比如一件很小的事情，寶寶男人就會很認真的計較，他們在意細小的事情比其他男人要多很多。
其實在平常，寶寶男人的話一般都不多，發呆的指數實在是高。一個人坐在一旁，眼神單純，想著誰也猜不著的事情，然後又一個人偷偷的發笑。這樣說，會讓人覺得很小女生，確實，寶寶男人在男人中也算是“小女人”了。
第六招：依賴
他們的依賴心比較強，也算是一定程度的惰性吧，總希望能有人能幫他們把事情都做完，自己坐享其成。
從這點也不難理解，為什麼寶寶男人總喜歡比自己大的女人了，他們不覺得被照顧被呵護是令男人羞恥的事情，反而覺得理所當然，樂在其中。
第七招：使性
“寶寶們”生氣的時候和其他男人可不一樣，絕對不會有兇狠的話語，更不會有暴力行為，表面上顯得風平浪靜。但千萬不要覺得他們好欺負，他們真正生氣了，產生冷戰的機率會很高。
因為他們通常採用的方法就是不理你，哪怕你在他面前快發瘋了，他也穩坐如山。其實，他需要的只是好好的溫柔的哄哄他就行了。
第八招：天真
他們開心的時候也很好玩，歡呼是他們擅長的表達方式。這是寶寶男人天真的一面，不掩飾內心的激動：哭是痛快的，高興也是痛快的。
他們不在乎周圍的眼光，只要自己開心就巴不得全世界都知道。
第九招：可愛
還有更隱私一點的，就是寶寶男人獨自睡覺的時候都很喜歡抱著東西，不管是被子還是枕頭，但和女人在一起的時候，他們更喜歡被女人抱著入眠。
總而言之，寶寶男人們在很多時候就像孩子，好像他們天生都有戀母情結。在他們的生活中，自己是理所當然的中心。這樣的男人有時候很可愛，但有時候又覺得很自私，他們過於保護自己，但又時常讓你心疼。他們是男人中最能激發女人母性的男人，是一種帶著溫柔氣質的“霸道”男人。

Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag

What you'll need:
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup milk or half & half
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 tablespoons rock salt
- 1 pint-size plastic food storage bag (e.g., Ziploc)
- 1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag
- Ice cubes
How to make it:
- Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
- Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
- Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully.
- Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes.
- Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Enjoy!
Tips:
A 1/2 cup milk will make about 1 scoop of ice cream, so double the recipe if you want more. But don't increase the proportions more that that -- a large amount might be too big for kids to pick-up because the ice itself is heavy.

How to scoop, serve and serve ice cream

A crust of ice crystals on leftover ice cream is sure a let-down for that midnight hankering! Follow these tips to prevent crystals from forming.
- "Temper" ice cream before you scoop - leave it at room temperature for 8-10 minutes before serving. Return ice cream to the freezer immediately after it has been served to minimize the formation of ice crystals.
- Forget what your brother-in-law told you about nuking it for 10-20 seconds. Resist the temptation for immediate gratification! Ice cream is a good enough treat on its own!
- Serve ice cream in chilled bowls, preferably glass. Not only is the frosted bowl refreshing to look at, but the ice cream will retain its shape longer.
- Scooping ice cream: A variation on a theme. Try this! Have a large Pyrex measuring cup or other heat proof container filled with just boiling water standing by. Dip the metal scoop into the hot water, let it heat up for a moment, and then DRY the scoop on a towel. Quickly drag the hot scoop across the ice cream creating tight rolls of the divine stuff. Do not smash the ice cream with the scoop. Think ribbons, not chunks. Repeat the process for each serving.
- To store opened ice cream, first place a piece of plastic wrap on the surface and smooth it down lightly with your fingers. Then close the lid securely (use a rubber band if you have to) and return to the depths of your freezer.

Perfect French Fries
- serves 4 -
Adapted from Bobby Flay's Burgers, Fries & Shakes by Bobby Flay.
Ingredients
5 large Russet potatoes, peeled or well scrubbed, if leaving leaving the skin on
1 quart peanut oil
Kosher saltProcedure
1. Cut the potatoes lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick slices, then cut each slice lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick fries. Put the fries in a large bowl of cold water and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
2. Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed medium stockpot over medium heat, or in a tabletop deep fryer, to 325° F. Line a baking sheet with paper towels and set aside.
3. Drain the fries well and pat dry in batches with paper towels. Fry each batch, turning frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes or until the fries are a pale blond color and limp. Remove with a mesh skimmer to the baking sheet lined with paper towels.
4. Increase the heat of the oil to 375° F.
5. Fry the potatoes again, in batches, turning frequently, until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove with the skimmer and drain on clean paper towels. Season immediately with salt and serve hot.
